The doors to the new Rec Plex on the far east side of Carondelet Park opened to the public Thursday, Nov. 19th. The YMCA of Greater St. Louis will operate the 76,000 square foot facility under a 15-year agreement with the City of St. Louis. Amenities of the facility that are now open include a fitness center, aerobics studio, two-court gymnasium and indoor pool with lazy river and whirlpool. However, access to the most anticipated part of the facility (at least for my wife), the outdoor pool, will have to wait until Summer of 2010.
Anyone that's interested can take a tour and/or use the facility on a trial basis by filling out the guest pass above and bringing it with you during business hours.

Monday - Friday: 5:00 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Program areas close 15 minutes before building closes.

Monday – Thursday: 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Friday: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sunday: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
